Health is the most important aspect of our lives. Yes, we have all heard it before, just like how breakfast is the most important meal of the day. But do we actually pay attention to what our bodies are telling us? It turns out, ignoring fatigue is never a good idea. Feeling tired is one thing, but exhaustion has many physical, mental, and emotional layers, so it’s important to know the difference.

Sleep
Staying up late for work, not getting enough exercise, watching movies late at night, not eating the right food, and not drinking enough water all affect your beauty sleep.
Nothing beats a good night’s rest. Having a routine is important – going to bed at a certain time and waking up at a certain time aligns your body’s clock with the natural rhythm of the universe and the benefits are immense. You’ll feel energized after being well rested, but sleep is also good for your skin, brain, and heart.

Dry Lips
Most of us might think it is common to have dry and chapped lips in the winter, but if your skin is scaly and you are suffering from frequent headaches, being dehydrated might be the culprit. Not drinking 8 glasses of water a day can also lead to cravings and exhaustion, as well as the dry and pasties.

 

Workouts not working out for you
Your exercise regime needs to be overhauled and some proper tuning up. If you are not well rested, you are most likely not hitting the gym the way you once used to for a full body workout, especially working on your core, upper body, and lower legs. Feeling tired doesn’t allow you to challenge yourself correctly, and will ultimately just lead to you being in bad shape.

 

Stress
Stress is the trap that lives inside of all of us, whether we like it or not. It’s not surprising that incessant anxiety and worrying over something we can’t control disrupts our sleep, but it also ages us faster than we would think. Focusing on your breathing and practicing some mindfulness before you get yourself into your cozy comforter is certainly a calming technique. Pair that with some herbal tea as a relaxant to help slip you into slumber.

Junk Food
The cravings with a high fat carbohydrate diet can range from French fries, to ice cream, to that supermarket cake that you want to devour, but it is vital that you are not heading to the grocery store or vending machine more often than you used to. This overly rich diet will make you more tired and burnt out without giving you that burst of energy you were hoping for. Comfort foods will only make you feel uncomfortable in the long run and are nothing but a temporary fix. Get creative and have fun with fruits and veggies by throwing in some low fat dips.

 

Your brain is fuzzy
Most of the time you are feeling, your brain is taxed and can’t think straight. Your ability to make decisions is haywire, hence affecting your productivity in your work sphere as well as outside of work. This leads to your immune system being attacked as well and making you more susceptible to colds.

 

Emotional imbalance
Your emotions being all over the place presents a challenge to your family, friends, and colleagues and is a general hindrance in your life. If you find yourself snapping or unexpectedly at the brink of tears, acknowledge the possibility that depression, anxiety, and reactiveness to stress have all been playing a role.

 

Bumping into objects
Probably one you wouldn’t think of, and it’s certainly is scary but true. When you’re suffering from low energy and exhausted, you are clumsier and tend to be accident-prone. You might even find yourself tripping over something meaningless like your own shoes, walking into a pesky coffee table, or even worse, hitting a tree.
