Halloween is the time for spooky costumes and yummy treats. Some people love candy, others prefer cookies and biscuits, I, personally go crazy over cupcakes. There’s just something perfect about those little personal cakes. There are so many amazing ways to decorate them, and not only in terms of frosting, but you can even put little secret filling inside, which, in my humble opinion, is a great opportunity for mischief during Halloween. If you’re just as pumped about cupcakes you’re in for a treat. Today we’re sharing with you a couple of adorable and spooktastic Halloween cupcakes for you to get inspired and create your own sweet and tasty Halloween monstrosity.
1. Slasher Cupcakes
Scream is one of the first movies that comes to mind when I think of Halloween, so having some slasher cupcakes is a no-brainer. Plus, this one is really easy to make, there’s not a lot of effort involved.
2. Skulls and Skeletons
Some people like Jack Skellington from Nightmare Before Christmas, but I think realistic skulls and skeletons look way better. So you now, feel free to choose what you like best, this is just some inspiration.
3. Severed Fingers
Is there anything more Halloween than severed body parts? Fingers are a classic, but you can always go for something more unique like ears, toes or perhaps a whole hand?
4. Eyeball Cupcakes
Speaking of body parts as cupcake decorations – eyeballs are another classic. Make them ultra realistic, or just use peeled grapes to imitate an eye.
5. Monster Berry
This is the most unusual version of a Halloween cupcakes we’ve found this year. Monster strawberries that are ready to bite your finger off. Who knew berries could be so scary?
6. Broken Glass
Serve your friends and enemies some broken glass this Halloween. I mean, just look how cool it looks, and the best part is that the glass is made of sugar, is completely safe and actually easy to make. And you get to go crazy with the blood splatters, release your inner Dexter.
7. Brains
Brain cupcakes are stupidly easy, just pipe some frosting in the shape of brains and you’re done. Perfect for a zombie themed party, or, you know, any other occasion like weddings, funerals, baby birthdays… just kidding!
8. Bat Cupcakes
If you’re not a fan of seriously scary desserts (why not?) these adorable yet spooky bat cupcakes might be more to your liking. You can make them as elaborate as you want, depending on your skill level and the amount of effort you’re willing to put in.
9. Black Cats
Black cat is every girl’s laziest Halloween costume, so why not also make it into a cupcake? Everyone likes cats, right? And if it’s a black one, it’s all spooky and Halloween-y, right? I just really like black cats, alright? Give me a break.
10. Pumpkin Cupcake
Pumpkins are what Halloween is really all about. Whether you like eating pumpkin pie or carving out your jack-o lantern, having a pumpkin in some shape or form at your place is a must. Why not make it into a yummy and adorable dessert?
11. Spooky Ghosts
Another easy Halloween costume that can easily be integrated into any dessert. Just do some meringue blobs and call them ghosts, or go the extra mile and make them more “realistic”. Either way it’s guaranteed to become a Halloween hit.
12. Witch Hat
Witches are the best, and it’s up to you if you want to be a sexy witch or a scary witch for Halloween, but you’ve got to have a witch hat on your cupcake. It’s the law.
13. Spider Cupcakes
Ending on a spooky number 13 – here are some spiders or you. Way too many people go the lazy route and just use Oreos and some chocolate syrup to draw the legs, but this realistic spider is just as easy to make, just use some chocolate.
